Everything you need to know
about KasInvest

A transparent marketplace where Kaspa ecosystem builders raise capital from verified investors, and investors buy ownership stakes in clearly-priced percentage slots, settled on-chain.

Introduction

What is KasInvest?

KasInvest is a builder-investor marketplace purpose-built for the Kaspa ecosystem. It solves three problems at once:

  • Builders can't easily raise capital for infrastructure projects on Kaspa L1, Igra L2, or Kasplex.
  • Investors can't evaluate and fund projects in a single audited, consistent workflow.
  • There's no standard way to price ownership or produce enforceable contracts.

KasInvest answers this with a simple flow: builders post projects with fixed funding goals, investors claim ownership in 5% or 10% increments, a contract is auto-generated, and funds are escrowed on-chain until milestones hit.

Infrastructure

Kaspa · Igra · Kasplex

KasInvest is multi-chain across the Kaspa ecosystem. Each chain is suited to a specific payment flow:

Kaspa L1

Native KAS payments. Fast, secure, scarce. Used for value storage & transfer.

Igra L2

EVM rollup. ~1s blocks, ~$0.0001 tx cost. Default chain for escrow contracts.

Kasplex L2

Alternate EVM L2. Deep Zealous DEX liquidity, USDC & USDT support.

Builders pick a settlement chain when listing their project. Investors can connect a wallet, switch chains, and pay in native KAS or stablecoins.

For builders

Launching a project, step by step

01

Sign up & verify

Create an account, select the Builder role, and pass KYC. This protects investors and keeps the marketplace compliant.

02

Post your project

Title, description, code link, funding goal, timeline, increment size (5% or 10%), and settlement chain.

03

Connect payout wallet

Link the Igra or Kasplex address that will receive funds. This is locked into the generated contract.

04

Get reviewed & go live

Projects start in 'pending' status. Once approved they appear in the marketplace and investors can start pledging.

05

Track backers & post updates

Dashboard shows every backer, funding progress, and milestones. Post updates to keep investors informed.

Tip: smaller increments (5%) attract more retail investors; larger increments (10%) suit high-conviction partners.

Settlement

How escrow works

When you pledge, funds aren't sent directly to the builder. They're locked into the KasInvest escrow until one of three things happens:

Goal reached

Project hits funding target. Funds release to builder's payout address.

Goal missed

Deadline passes without reaching goal. Pledges refund automatically.

Dispute

KasInvest arbitrates. Unresolved disputes escalate to binding arbitration.

Escrow executes on the settlement chain chosen by the builder (Igra by default). Every state transition is recorded with a tx hash that both parties can verify in a block explorer.

Security

KYC, auth & on-chain identity

KYC is required for both roles. Documents upload to a private Supabase bucket scoped by user id — nobody outside the reviewer and the uploader can see them.

Auth is email + password (Supabase Auth) with optional wallet linking. Row-level security policies enforce that investors only see their own investments, builders only see backers on their own projects, and contracts are only visible to the two signing parties.

When you connect a wallet, you sign a message proving ownership of the address before it's linked to your account. No private keys ever touch our servers.

Risks

Be honest about what can go wrong

This is high-risk investing. The majority of early-stage projects fail. Things that can happen:

  • Builder never delivers — escrow refunds if goal missed, but post-release is at risk.
  • Technology risk — smart contracts, bridges, and chains can have bugs.
  • Market risk — KAS price volatility affects USD-denominated returns.
  • Regulatory risk — token offerings are regulated differently by jurisdiction.
  • Illiquidity — ownership slots don't have a secondary market yet.

Diversify. Only commit what you can afford to lose. Always review code before investing. Nothing on KasInvest is financial advice.
